Finally,giving it a try

Well, here I am, sitting at work on what they call a "break" trying to think about what to write in this entry.
I've never had a blog before and well I suppose I need one, if I'm going to try and get a job in the graphic design field it will help to have a small blog to show some work off.

But I dunno, I'm drawing a blank on what to write about......

It may be appropiate to give a little bg on myself..

I am currently 29 years old, married with family and working full time as well as going to college part time. I am working towards my associates in graphic design then proceeding towards a bachelors then masters in commerical art.

I've loved to draw since I was little, and finally towards the middle of my life decided to go forth and finally do something with it and get a job in a field. They always say, do something you love and make money at it....easier said than done.

So how does one, "do what they love as a career", well I decided to work towards a degree first then go from there.

I enrolled into Nossi College of art back in fall into the Graphic Design course. There were factors in my decision to go there over other insitutions. It boiled down to money vs career salary, basically If I can not make close to or more in salary upon graduation then I would not pay more in tution costs for going to that school.

I tried out other schools locally and when they told the costs for a 2 year degree I scoffed, and I have had my eye on Nossi for years and even tried once before to enroll but I just couldnt work my life into going there at the time.

Their prices are comparable and its really the only college around that have smaller classess with more direct contact with the teachers.

Hopefully after I gradutate I can get into a good job making a decent or close to salary as I am making now and finally do what they've always said..... more to come
